The rules for
using SignUPlay.

The service

SignUPlay is software for sports registration. An organization publishes an event page, collects players or teams, questions, and waivers, and takes card payments into the Stripe account it connects. SignUPlay is not the host of the camp, tryout, clinic, or tournament.

Accounts

• Give accurate information and keep the password private.
• The organization is responsible for staff it invites, including what they publish, refund, or export.
• A parent or guardian adds a minor. We do not ask a child to open an account on their own.

What the organizer is responsible for

• The event itself: dates, prices, capacity, eligibility, and whether it actually runs.
• The waiver, the questions, and any refund rule shown to families.
• Having the right to use the names, logos, and photos uploaded for the organization.
• Following the laws that apply to the event, including youth-sports and consumer rules.

What the person registering agrees to

Registering is an agreement with the organization running the event, not with SignUPlay. The price, the waiver, and the organizer’s refund rule are theirs. Payment is processed on that organization’s Stripe account.

Fees

There is no monthly fee and no per-player fee to keep an account open. On a paid registration, SignUPlay charges the platform fee shown on the pricing page, currently 1% plus $1. Stripe charges its own card-processing rate on the connected account. A free event does not create a SignUPlay fee.

Acceptable use

• Do not publish a fake event, misrepresent who you are, or take payment for something you will not deliver.
• Do not send spam, phishing, or unsolicited bulk messages through the product.
• Do not upload malware, or content that is unlawful, hateful, or sexually exploitative.
• Do not scrape, copy, or systematically download event pages, rosters, or other data. Browsing the site as a person is allowed.
• Do not probe, overload, or attempt to break the service.

Stopping an account

You can stop using SignUPlay at any time. We can suspend an account that breaks these terms, creates a security risk, or is required to be closed by law or by Stripe. Closing an account does not erase a payment that already settled in the organization’s Stripe account.

The software is provided as it is

We work to keep registration and checkout available, and we do not promise that the service will be uninterrupted or fit for a purpose we did not agree to in writing. To the extent the law allows, SignUPlay is not liable for the organizer’s event, for a family’s dispute with that organizer, or for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

Changes

We can update these terms. The date at the top of this page will change, and continued use of SignUPlay after that date is acceptance of the update. The current pricing page states the platform fee.
