We collect what an event registration needs: who signed up, who is responsible for them, and whether they paid.

Information we collect

Account details: name, email, password, and the organization you create.
Player and team details the organization or a guardian enters, including a photo if one is uploaded.
Registration answers, waiver signatures, and messages sent through the contact form.
Payment status. Card numbers are entered on Stripe, not stored by SignUPlay.
Technical data such as browser type, IP address, and the pages requested, used to keep the site secure and to fix errors.

How we use it

To run the account, the event page, check-in, and the registration list.
To send email about the account, a registration, or a reply to a message you sent us.
To charge or refund a registration through the organization’s Stripe account, and to calculate the platform fee.
To prevent fraud and abuse, including the reCAPTCHA check on sign-in and account creation.

Who else receives it

The organization running the event sees the registrations, waivers, and payment status for that event.
Stripe processes the card payment on the connected account.
Amazon Web Services hosts the application, the database, and uploaded files in the United States.
Amazon Simple Email Service sends mail from SignUPlay.
Google reCAPTCHA runs on sign-in and account creation. Google Maps may load when an address field asks for a place.

We do not sell personal information. We do not share a roster with other organizations for their own marketing.

Children

Youth events include information about minors. A parent or guardian creates the account and adds the player. We do not knowingly let a child under 13 open an account alone. A guardian can ask us to delete a player’s information through the contact page, subject to records the organization must keep for a payment or a waiver.

How long we keep it

We keep account and registration records while the account is open and for as long as we need them for payments, disputes, and legal obligations. You can ask for a copy or for deletion from the contact page. We will not delete a record we are required to keep.

The organizer’s own policy

The organization decides what its event asks families to provide. That organization’s privacy notice, if it publishes one, applies to how the organization uses those answers beyond SignUPlay.
